Well, we have what you are looking for every Tuesday night here at BlueScreenGaming in Culver City. We have Tournaments for the Super Smash Bros Community. Lately, we have had as many 35 people show up for the Super Smash Bros Tuesday tournaments.

We wanted to also, thank you, for everyone who played at BSG the last few weeks! We appreciate all your support for this new bad ass venue. Everybody who has played here has really loved it, we hope you’re able to come down and continue to support, or introduce yourself and make us your home away from home.

Special Notes

  1. Discounts are given only for systems that are used. We reserve the right to ‘cut off’ the waived incentive when stations are filled.
  2. TOs have the final say on any rulings.
  3.  Event and rules are subject to change without notice
  4. Volunteers are responsible for the safety/use of their provided setups. Efforts will be made to ensure you return home with your items, but we cannot guarantee any protection vs. loss, theft, or damage.

Schedule

2:00 PM – Venue opens, friendlies start, singles & doubles sign ups open
6:00 PM – Doubles sign ups close, late entries are accepted depending on situation
6:15 PM – Doubles sign ups HARD CLOSE, NO EXCEPTIONS! -TOURNEY STARTS-
7:45 PM– Singles sign ups close, late entries are accepted depending on situation
8:15 PM – Singles Sign Ups HARD CLOSE, NO EXCEPTIONS! -Singles Starts-
12:00 AM – Expected end time

Pricing

$5.00 for Singles, $2.00 for Doubles (per person), $7.00 for Venue
Venue fee will be waived if:
-You provide a FULL WII U SETUP (Console with all Tournament Stages + DLC, GC adapter, and Gamepad)

Tournament Rules

SINGLES:
Custom moves, equipment Are OFF!!

  • Miis are set to 1111
  • 2 Stock Singles
  • 6 minutes
  • Items off
  • Double elimination
  • the First stage is decided by (Rock Paper Scissors) best of 1. Winner strikes, then loser strikes twice, then the winner. (1-2-2-1)
  • Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.
  • Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
  • You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.
  • You may not play on a stage that is not on the available stages list. This will result in a double disqualification.
  • Sudden Death with a tied percentage/stock count will NOT determine the outcome of a tied game. A playoff match with 1 stock/2 minutes will determine the winner.

Singles

  • 8 Or Less Entrants 70/30
  • 9 to 16 Entrants 60/30/10
  • 17 to 32 Entrants 50/25/15/10
  • 33-64 Entrants 50/24/13/7/3
  • 65+ Entrants 50/22/13/7/3/1

8 or less  the entrants all sets will be best of 5
9 to 16 entrants all sets up to semis will be best of 3, after semis best of 5
16+ entrants all sets up to semis will be best of 3 semis and later are best of 5

DOUBLES:
Custom moves, equipment Are OFF!!

WIRELESS CONTROLLER

You must take out your battery and unsync your controller when you are not playing. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification of your next match.

 

 Parking:

Parking is free on Washington Blvd for metered spaces after 6 PM. There are quite a few residential streets down the road that offer ample parking, although that won’t be necessary until we get very popular.
